Debate Debacle – Symbol of Obama's Failed Presidency
DEBATE DEBACLE – SYMBOL OF OBAMA'S FAILED PRESIDENCY
By Frances Rice
Being a genius is not required to conclude that President Barack Obama's debate performance was an utter disaster. Americans witnessed on full display the weak president who produced the worst economic recovery in our nation's history.
The article "Why the Country Is Unhappy Under Obama" by Mort Zuckerman provides the gory details about Obama's failed presidency, including the heart-breaking fact that the real unemployment rate is a stunning 15 percent, based on the Bureau of Labor Statistics U-6 measurement, which includes people working part-time.
As the old saying goes, one picture is worth a thousand words. The cartoon on the cover of the upcoming October 15th issue of The New Yorker magazine says it all, depicting Gov. Mitt Romney debating an empty chair.
Clint Eastwood was right.
Victor Davis Hanson's article "Anatomy of a Disastrous Debate Performance" analyzes the magazine's cover and explains succinctly all the reasons why the Romney-Obama debate was so bizarre, played out before 60 million Americans. Even Obama's staunchest supporters were stunned, their reactions ranging from condemnation to mockery.
It is tragic that our country had to be brought to its economic knees before the majority of Americans realized the mistake that was made in electing Obama, a committed Socialist, as our president. This is a mistake that must be corrected on November 6th, or our country will be turned by Obama into a failed socialist nation.
