CNN's Harry Enten Has Very Bad Union News for Harris, Polling Shows How Much Trouble She's In

The Democrats pushed Joe Biden to the side because of how badly he was doing in the polls and replaced him with Kamala Harris. 

But there are a few things they don't seem to have factored into the equation when they made this move. 

One is that Biden, for whatever it's worth, does have some favorability in Pennsylvania, the most critical state in this election, as "Scranton Joe." He was at one point viewed as moderate, which would be more appealing to the area. Meanwhile, San Francisco liberal Harris does not. 

But there's another big factor that CNN's Harry Enten points out -- that she doesn't have the pull with the union households that Biden had either, Harris is 10 points off where Biden was:

"But, look at where Kamala Harris is today! She's only leading by nine points. That would be the worst Democratic performance in a generation. Ten points off the mark of Joe Biden." He noted how Joe's official numbers had him 19 points ahead in 2020, and that he had put himself out as "Union Joe." 

That's not going to be good for her, particularly in the Rust Belt. I wrote about some of the trouble they were having there earlier, in Michigan, including with polling that Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) was warning them about. 

If we look at what union members were telling MSNBC were their concerns -- jobs and illegal immigration -- you can see why they would more naturally gravitate to Trump, versus Harris. It's also why Trump might have more of a pull for members than a regular Republican out of central casting might. 

Not to mention that union households have the same issues with the Harris-Biden economy that the rest of us do, with being crushed by inflation. 

MSNBC also noted the problem that Harris was having with male voters of all kinds -- old, young white, and people of color. 

Remember the Teamsters polling and how that broke heavily for Trump over Harris? 

If you look beyond the top line, in their polling, it looks even worse for the "coup" from the Democrats. 

The straw poll that they took between April and July nationally had Biden up 44.3 to 36.4. 

Biden was up with the Teamsters in most states, even in some of the Southern red states. 

But Harris, on the other hand, is not just behind nationally to Trump -- she's behind in every state. 

Trump beats her in every state, including places like California, New York, New Jersey, and even Hawaii in the Teamsters state polling. Perhaps more importantly, Trump beats her with Teamsters in every swing state -- and by a fair amount:

Nevada: 59.9 to 37.3

North Carolina: 69.1 to 29.2

Georgia: 56.3 to 40.7

Arizona:  57.3 to 38.7

Michigan: 61.7 to 35.2

Pennsylvania: 65.3 to 31.4

Wisconsin: 57 to 40.5

Notice in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and North Carolina, how those states have even more than the national polling number for Trump. 

Since we've also been talking about Virginia potentially tightening up, their numbers are also of note, with one of the highest Trump leads among the states: 

The only place where Harris beats Trump is in D.C. 

I think this is indicative of the Teamster members'--and frankly, members of a lot of other unions--top priority being the economy, jobs, and the border. On all of those issues, Trump holds a lead over Harris in most polling. I don't think they connect with the progressive, inability-to-be-real nature of Harris. Heck, there's a problem in general for her connecting with men. 

Translation? 

Karma may be coming back to bite them, if the coup costs Democrats the race.

Nasrallah wasn’t the only one killed—it looks like Israel got what was left of the leadership. It was a total decapitation. Reportedly, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's trip to the United Nations in New York was part of a “diversion” to lull Nasrallah and his minions into a false sense of security (via Times of Israel):

CNN's Scott Jennings Has the Perfect Line for Kamala's Disastrous Border Visit

Vice President Kamala Harris’ photo opportunity at the southern border was a classic example of bad timing: a new report from ICE revealed the criminal scum she and Joe Biden have allowed to pour into the country. Hundreds of thousands of criminals, along with tens of thousands of rapists and murderers, are roaming our streets. Harris wrecked the border, failed to address the migrant crisis, and now thinks she can pull a con over us by suggesting she’d crackdown on illegals (via Associated Press):

Vice President Kamala Harris walked a scrubby stretch along the U.S.-Mexico border on Friday and called for further tightening of asylum restrictions as she sought to project a tougher stance on illegal migration and address one of her biggest vulnerabilities in the November election. 

Harris’ push to further restrict asylum claims moves beyond President Joe Biden’s policy on an issue where her rival, former President Donald Trump, has an edge with voters. She balanced tough talk on policing the border with calls for a better way to welcome immigrants legally. 

“I reject the false choice that suggests we must choose either between securing our border and creating a system that is orderly, safe and humane,” Harris said. “We can and we must do both.” 

As CNN’s Scott Jennings aptly noted, the title for this border trip should read “Arsonist returns to the scene of the crime.” All this did was highlight the four years of intentional sabotage done by Democrats on border security:

BREAKING: We Now Know the Charges Against New York Mayor Eric Adams

Late Wednesday night, news broke that New York City Mayor Eric Adams had been indicted, though at the time, the charges were not yet specified. 

Though the news itself wasn't a complete surprise, given all of the law enforcement activity surrounding the mayor and his associates, it's still a fascinating twist in the engrossing saga swirling around New York of late. Adams now becomes the first sitting New York City mayor to face federal indictment. 

Thursday morning, the indictment against Adams was unsealed. The full 57-page document may be viewed below, but in sum, Adams is charged with:

  1. Conspiracy to Defraud the United States (Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud, Bribery, and to Receive Campaign Contributions by Foreign Nationals)
  2. Fraud by Wire, Radio, or Television
  3. Solicitation of a Contribution by a Foreign National
  4. Solicitation of a Contribution by a Foreign National
  5. Bribery

The crux of the allegations appears to reach back nearly a decade and stem from Adams' involvement with Turkish nationals. 

The indictment outlines alleged illegal actions stretching back to 2014, from when he was Brooklyn Borough President.

“For nearly a decade, Adams sought and accepted improper valuable benefits, such as luxury international travel, including from wealthy foreign businesspeople and at least one Turkish government official seeking to gain influence over him,” the indictment reads.

Adams allegedly sought and accepted illegal “nominee” or “straw” contributions. By “smuggling their contributions” to Adams’ campaign through the straw donors and actors from overseas, Adams “defeated federal laws that serve to prevent foreign influence on U.S. elections,” according to the indictment.

In 2018, when Adams had announced his plans to run for New York City mayor, he allegedly accepted and sought illegal campaign contributions to his upcoming mayoral campaign, the indictment says.

Businesses also circumvented the city’s ban on corporate contributions “by funneling their donations through multiple employees,” according to the indictment.

Argentina's Milei Pokes His Finger in UN's Eye, Rejects Their 'Socialist Agenda'

Libertarian economist Javier Milei rocked a lot of boats on his way to the Argentinian presidency—and has continued to do so since he took the oath of office in December 2023. Although many American sites call him things like “far-right populist" and "alt-right,” he would perhaps be more aptly described perhaps as "anti-socialist" and ran on a platform that vowed to fight a 200 percent inflation rate, rising poverty, and a divided population in the once prosperous nation. He vowed to take a “chainsaw to public spending” and initiate austerity measures to fight the rot that had taken over Buenos Aires.

It shouldn’t come as much of a surprise, therefore, that he delivered a fiery speech at the United Nations Tuesday and blasted their socialist agenda.

In his debut address to the UN general assembly in New York on Tuesday, Milei focused on the 42-page “Pact for the Future” adopted by the UN on Sunday, which includes points promoting climate action, gender equality and regulation of artificial intelligence.

“Argentina will not back any policy that implies the restriction of individual freedoms or trade, nor the violation of the natural rights of individuals,” Milei said. “We invite all nations of the free world to join us, not only in opposing this pact, but in the creation of a new agenda for this noble institution: the freedom agenda.”

He added that the UN’s previous 2030 sustainable development agenda was “a supranational programme of a socialist nature” and accused the UN of becoming “multi-tentacled Leviathan that seeks to decide what each nation state should do and how the citizens of the world should live”.

 Whoa. Tell us what you really think, Javier. He also railed against the draconian, fascist COVID responses that many governments, including our own, imposed on their citizens.

He went on to blast the woke agenda of the progressives and the World Economic Forum.

X owner Elon Musk, who has become more outspoken about his political views in recent months (hint: he doesn’t seem to be impressed by progressive Democrats), was excited to meet the controversial leader and indicated in a post that he supports the direction Argentina is heading in.

It remains to be seen whether Milei can fully pull Argentina out of its tailspin. He faces powerful leftist forces in his country but has shown that he doesn’t easily back down. In his U.N. speech, he was not shy about how he saw things as they currently stand:

I’m here to warn you that we are at the end of a cycle.

The collectivism and moral posturing of the woke agenda have collided with reality.

Joe Manchin Throws Kamala Harris Overboard After She Makes Dangerous Announcement

Kamala Harris has officially lost Joe Manchin's support. The soon-to-be ex-West Virginia senator unequivocally rebuked the Democratic Party nominee after she pledged to eliminate the filibuster to "codify" Roe v. Wade on Tuesday.

The Harris campaign's social media team put out a post highlighting her recent comments in which she stated that she's "been very clear" about destroying one of the few bulwarks against total chaos left at the federal government level.

Understand that when Democrats say they want to restore the "protections of Roe v. Wade," they are not going to be satisfied with simply reinstating viability standards. That's just a red herring they use to try to appear less radical to the American people. Rest assured, any abortion legislation passed by a Democrat-led U.S. Senate and signed by a hypothetical President Kamala Harris would "codify" abortion until birth. How do we know that? Because their last attempt at "codifying" Roe did just that. 

Manchin's primary issue isn't abortion, though. It's the elimination of the filibuster, something he has fought to prevent for years. Up until this point, it wasn't clear whether Harris still held such a position given she's flip-flopped on so many other things. With her announcement, Manchin decided he had heard enough. 

Will this make a difference in the election? Probably not outside of a select few moderates who are smart enough to recognize what keeping the filibuster in place means. Manchin is certainly right to shun Harris over her pledge, though.

I get that in the current political environment, everybody looks at the government as a means of power to punish one's enemies. In that sense, pure majority rule in the Senate appears to make some sense. After all, if you've got the votes, why not nuke it and push through your agenda? 

I'll dissent from that viewpoint, though. I think the filibuster is all that's left at the federal level keeping Democrats from completely destroying the nation. Harris' pledge to get rid of it is dangerous not because of politics but because of the very real consequences that occur. Every left-wing pipedream would become a reality, and there would be nothing left if that happened. 

Republicans are likely to control the Senate after this election. They need to do everything they can to solidify the filibuster, not take it out for short-term gain. I get that a lot of Republicans will scoff at me saying that, but consider that Democrats will retake the Senate, and likely sooner rather than later. There's nothing the GOP has in the works that is worth handing the left a free-for-all in the most important legislative body. Doing that would backfire worse than Harry Reid ending the filibuster on judicial nominees.

Yikes: Kamala's Confused Comment About Trump Shows Why They Don't Want Her Answering Questions

Kamala Harris proved again on Sunday why her team doesn't seem to like having her take questions. 

Usually when she's traveling back and forth, you see her running from the car to the plane and completely blowing off the press that might be waiting there, hoping to slip in a question. But for some reason, on Sunday, the press managed to get in at least a couple of queries when she was traveling to New York. 

It did not go well.

Kamala says she'll outline her "vision for the economy" this week that will deal with "what we can create in terms of opportunity for the American people in making an opportunity economy which really is in short form it's about what we can do more to invest in the aspirations, the ambitions, and the dreams of the American people while addressing the challenges that they face, whether it's the high price of groceries or the difficulty in being able to acquire home ownership [unintelligible]."

Huh, what?

So let's examine that word salad. 

First, the high prices of groceries and the difficulty of homeownership are because of legislation she voted for with her tie-breaking vote in the Senate. That's on her. She can't run away from it; she drove inflation up. So she hasn't just not made it better while she's been in office all this time, she's actively made it worse. 

Then she's been running away from all her old radical remarks. But here she can't help but let the attitude slip through. Government -- to her -- is about "investment" (translate: spending taxpayer dollars) in "aspirations, ambitions and the dreams of the American people." Um, no. The government is NOT supposed to be "providing" for me, it's supposed to get out of my way so I can provide for myself. It is supposed to be "providing for the common defense," i.e., things like protecting the country and our borders, which she has failed to do. Spending more by promising freebies to get elected doesn't solve inflation, it makes it worse. But either she doesn't understand that, or she can't keep her socialistic aspects in check. 

It's also funny because even now with only a few weeks left, she's still trying to define herself and tell people what she thinks. She had to get help from people like Oprah, and even then, she had problems trying to convince people and questions raised about the event. 

But she also had a true "Joe Biden" delusional moment. Who is she trying to have a debate with? She doesn't seem to know.

Harris said she'd like another debate with the "former vice president." Um, Donald Trump is the former president, not the former vice president. Paging Mike Pence, sounds like Kamala wants to debate you (again). 

Did she catch Joe Biden's cognitive decline while she was covering up for him? 

Also, if she thinks she's ahead or she won the last debate, why is she so anxious to have another one? 

One would have to think that her internals are telling her she needs it. And if she wants another debate, why didn't she agree to the Fox event that Trump agreed to? She can't have it both ways with these games. Trump has already done two debates -- she's the one that has to prove herself. 

This is why they don't want her talking randomly or off the teleprompter, because things like this are bound to result.

HUGE WIN: Georgia Elections Board Overrules State AG, Requires Hand Count of Ballots on Election Day

There's no question that people have worn out the superlatives over the past few years, whether it's slapping "breaking news" on stories that turn out to be anything but, or calling a political event or move "a big deal." But it's likely this story qualifies as a huge win for election integrity in the 2024 elections in November--especially since it concerns both the state of Georgia and Election Day.

The Georgia Election Board ruled Friday that ballots must be hand-counted by local precincts despite concerns from election officials and opposition from some state officials. 

The Georgia Election Board ruled 3-2 to require ballots to be hand-counted — an added layer to the machine count that already takes place. The rule change comes less than 50 days before Election Day in a critical swing state.

The chairman of the panel, John Fervier, was joined by Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr in expressing concerns over the ruling less than two months out from the elections:

There are several things that concern me about this. No. 1, I do think it’s too close to the election. I do.I think that it’s too late to train a lot of poll workers that have already started their training processes.

 The Hill added that Chairman Fervier continued, expressing doubts that Georgia has the "resources" to follow the rules:

Fervier also cited a lack of resources among the counties to properly carry out the rule change, and issues around chain of custody.

Raffensperger referenced state AG Carr's warning about potential legal challenges, in his remarks:

Attorney General Chris Carr has stated that these rules would not withstand a legal challenge, and I have worked every day to strengthen Georgia’s election law to ensure our elections remain safe, secure, and free.

Georgia voters can be confident that the reforms we’ve enacted since 2020 and have defended in court from frivolous attacks by Stacy Abrams will ensure only American citizens vote in our elections. 

Our reforms have made Georgia elections the safest in the nation and I work every day to keep it that way.

If anything, a decision like this could only help to reassure voters in the Peach state--and nationwide--that the 2024 election is processed fairly. It's crucial that every legal vote is counted in November. We'll keep you posted on where things go from here on the legal front.

'Gutfeld!' draws largest audience in program history with Trump appearance

Former President Trump appeared on Fox News’ "Gutfeld!" on Wednesday, where he was asked about everything from surviving a pair of assassination attempts to criticism he receives from celebrities. (FOX)

Fox News Channel’s "Gutfeld!" landed 4.9 million viewers, its largest audience in the program’s history on Wednesday when former President Trump made an hour-long guest appearance.

Trump joined host Greg Gutfeld for the entire hour, participating in the program’s signature banter alongside Kat Timpf, Tyrus and "Outnumbered" co-host Emily Compagno. The former president was asked about surviving a pair of assassination attempts, the ABC Presidential Debate and criticism he receives from celebrities, among other topics.

"Gutfeld!" averaged 4.9 million total viewers and 744,000 in the advertiser-coveted demographic of adults aged 25-54. It was the largest audience "Gutfeld!" has drawn among both categories since it launched in 2021. 

"Gutfeld!" also had more total viewers than the season premieres of CBS’ "Survivor" and ABC’s "The Golden Bachelorette," making it the most-watched show in all of cable and broadcast primetime on Wednesday. 

While Wednesday’s episode set records, "Gutfeld!" is regularly among the most-watched cable news programs in America and finished August as the No. 1 cable news program in the key demo. 

According to Nielsen MRI Fusion, "Gutfeld!" attracts more independents and Democrats than all broadcast late-night programs.

Trump’s appearance was taped Wednesday afternoon at FOX News Media’s New York City headquarters before the former president headed to Long Island for a campaign rally. He had not appeared on a broadcast or cable late-night show during an election cycle since NBC’s "The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon" in 2016.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom signed legislation on Tuesday making it illegal to "with malice, knowingly distribute an advertisement or other election communication containing materially deceptive content," 120 before an election and 60 days after.

"With malice," really?

Oh, Gavin — my black little heart is filled with so much malice for you and your statist party that it would have to grow six sizes today just to get half as big as the Grinch's after he learned the true meaning of Christmas. 

The Democrat and mayor of the former best-run, most-livable city in the whole dang world, San Francisco, can be seen in the above photo announcing he'd placed his royal seal on Assembly Bill 2655. "Safeguarding the integrity of elections is essential to democracy, and it’s critical that we ensure AI is not deployed to undermine the public’s trust through disinformation – especially in today’s fraught political climate," Newsom said in a statement.

The phrases "First Amendment" and "freedom of expression" were nowhere to be found.

Musk replied, "You’re not gonna believe this, but @GavinNewsom just announced that he signed a LAW to make parody illegal, based on this video... The post says 'PARODY' in all caps!" But even the "PARODY" tag doesn't seem to provide any protection from Newsom's oppressive speech regulations. 

Is it still legal for me to call Newsom a dillhole? Because he is one. 

All snark aside, I'm pretty sure that image of Newsom I prompted for this column would have to be stricken from PJ Media — and from X, where I'm about to post it — even though I live in Colorado, PJ Media is headquartered in Virginia, and X is based in Texas.

Another California Democrat, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, could not be reached for comment as she was busy performing other official duties in the Capitol Building.

Oops, I did it again.

Vice President Kamala Harris was also not available for comment. She was busy at an intimate campaign event in Springfield, Ohio.

For what it's worth, Musk's Grok AI engine is much more willing to generate images of politicians, like the two I did of Pelosi and Harris. ChatGPT I had to trick into doing my evil bidding.
