How many Democrats have to jump ship before leftists realize they’ve gone off the deep end?
Okay, so polls can be pretty boring. But I think it’s significant to note that Biden’s approval rating continues to plummet. In one recent survey, only a third of Americans believe Biden should be re-elected. And I’m pretty sure the surveyor found those people at the sanitorium.
But forget the polls; they can be too easily skewed. Instead, look around with your own eyes at what’s really happening here. The harder Democrats try to put all their effort into obliterating Donald Trump from the political scene, the more ground leftists lose.
Now, another prominent Democrat is changing parties. Louisiana state Rep. Jeremy LaCombe just announced that he is officially registering as a Republican. The left is now so radicalized that many Democrats feel they have no choice but to change affiliations.
LaCombe is the second Louisiana law-maker to switch parties in less than a month, and the third nation-wide, as a North Carolina rep recently made the same move. According to the New York Post, “Last month, Louisiana state Rep. Francis Thompson gave Republicans in the state House a supermajority after he switched his party affiliation, and earlier this month, North Carolina state Rep. Tricia Cotham gave Republicans in the state House a supermajority with her switch as well.”
For every public personality, be it law-maker, celebrity, or influencer who makes the switch, thousands of everyday, working-class Americans follow suit. Yet, somehow Dems manage to pull 80 million votes out of thin air. But I digress; there is no going back to 2020- no fixing it. All we can do is prepare for 2024.
Meet the Defectors
Elon Musk is possibly the biggest name in party-switchers. Last May he defected, saying that the Democrats he once viewed as the kinder party morphed into nothing but promoters of “division and hate”. Of course, that switch is what eventually lead Musk to buy Twitter in an effort to restore free speech.
According to Bill Maher, Democrats have taken things too far. In one interview, Maher said “woke started out as a good thing, pointing out injustice, and sort of became an eye-roll” as liberals made a mockery of social justice. Maher went on to say leftists “love diversity, except of ideas;” which is the cornerstone of the leftist hypocrisy. As we’ve said a thousand times, the “loving and tolerant left” are anything but loving or tolerant.
Social media influencers agree.
"YouTube podcaster Dave Rubin resigned from his post in 2015 at The Young Turks, a popular left-wing news channel, after his own political awakening. He now dubs himself the “Why I Left the Left Guy.”
In a YouTube video that has garnered more than 15 million views, he made his position clear: “Today’s progressivism has become a faux-moral movement hurling charges of racism, bigotry, xenophobia, homophobia, Islamophobia and a slew of other meaningless buzzwords at anyone they disagree with. The battle of ideas has been replaced by a battle of feelings, and outrage has replaced honesty. Diversity reigns supreme unless it’s that pesky diversity of thought. This isn’t the recipe for a free society, it’s a recipe for authoritarianism.”
The big name defectors certainly attract the most attention, but it will be the loss of the little guys that eventually destroys the Democrats.
"After living half of his life as a registered Democrat, Justin Roth, 42, re-registered in 2016 as an Independent — and then switched sides entirely to become a Republican in 2020.
“The reason I registered as a Republican has more to do with the Democrats than it does with Republicans,” said Roth, a single Staten Islander who teaches English as a second language. “I still consider myself liberal in a lot of ways, but I’m no longer a registered Democrat. They’ve just really gone off the rails for the past several years.”
As he’s watched the left wage cancel-culture wars and push for extreme political correctness, Roth said the Democrats have turned their backs on the issues that matter most to him.
“My top priorities right now are actually kitchen-table issues — inflation, the price of housing, food and gas. As a voter I really care about things that affect my life personally and the lives of my family members more than any of this culture war stuff.”
I couldn’t agree more. Biden has turned our economy upside-down. Families are struggling to have enough money to buy gas just so they can work 60-hour weeks and still have trouble buying food. Something is very wrong with this picture. And our president’s only solution is to sell-out to China while walking in circles like a demented old clown.
