The Declaration of Independence founded this nation on the principle “that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”

Celebrating America’s Founding

On Independence Day, we reflect together as a nation on a remarkable moment in history 247 years ago, when 56 courageous men and 13 colonies gathered in Philadelphia to sign the Declaration of Independence.
On this historic day in 1776, our founders declared with one voice: “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness.”
Since 1776, the values and ideals enshrined in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution have been exported to democracies around the globe and have lifted millions of people out of tyranny, poverty, and oppression. This act of political and moral courage changed the world forever.
Today, however, many seek to devalue and diminish America’s founding. Regrettably, some communities in America seek to erase our nation’s founding principles by removing statues, renaming historic parks and buildings, and radicalizing curriculum in schools and universities.
The lessons of America’s independence in 1776 must be remembered and preserved. As Benjamin Franklin cautioned, we have “a Republic – if you can keep it.” The great experiment our founding fathers initiated in 1776 necessitates that each generation safeguards its freedom for the next.
So, this year, perhaps more than ever, we must preserve our great American story and remember our shared responsibilities as Americans. Let us recognize and honor the many courageous men and women who have defended our freedom and made the ultimate sacrifice to ensure that America remains free.
Our founders vowed to each other their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor. As Americans, we must honor their pledge and lead by their great act of courage. It is our duty to stand for the flag, vote in our elections, and teach our founding principles to the next generation of Americans.

This Is Our "Can You Keep It" Moment
We are staring in the face that generation Benjamin Franklin and Ronald Reagan warned us about...
We've all heard the story, the one where Benjamin Franklin was asked if we've got a republic or a monarchy. His response? "A Republic... if you can keep it." Well, guess what? We’re THAT generation he warned us about. Our generation, this generation, is on the verge of losing the greatest nation that has ever existed. In fact, it is already happening. Contrary to what many believe, there are no guarantees that America, as we’ve known her, enjoyed her, benefited from her, will last another 240+ years. I seriously doubt, she can last another 10 years at the pace we’re going.
But it doesn’t have to be this way.
Gone are the days of fighting defensively. Freedom demands action!
