A woman fought back against her abuser of six months,
shooting him in self-defense. Witnesses at the scene corroborated the abuse,
and police confirmed they had physical evidence of the assault. Upon his
release from the hospital, detectives arrested the man, charging him with
varying degrees of domestic abuse, sexual battery, child endangerment and
attempted second-degree murder. The suspect was held without bond. The shooting

A man attempted to rob a 23-year-old woman at a gas
station in Miami around 7 a.m. However, it turns out he chose the wrong woman,
because the would-be-victim fought back with her legal CCW handgun, shooting
