To use Gordon Sondland’s testimony to argue that there
was a quid pro quo between President Trump and Ukraine to investigate the Bidens
is completely disingenuous.
Multiple
times today, Sondland testified President Trump “said I want
nothing. I want no quid pro quo.”
In response to Rep. Mike Turner’s questioning,
“No one on this planet told you that Donald Trump was tying this aid to the
investigations? Because if your answer is 'yes,' then the Chairman is wrong and
the headline on CNN is wrong... yes or no,” Sondland replied, “Yes.”
In other testimony, Sondland said, “My testimony is I NEVER
heard from President Trump that aid was conditioned on an announcement.”
He also said,
“I did not hear from President Trump that the aid would be held up until
the statement was made. I did not hear those words.”
Sondland also agreed
that President Trump NEVER told him about “any preconditions for anything.”
Furthermore, Sondland confirmed that Ukraine aid was released without an investigation and a
meeting between President Trump and Ukraine President Zelensky was held without
an announcement of investigations.
Stop The Madness.
The American people see through the Democrats’ charade. As the Democrats’ bogus
impeachment sham continues, President Trump’s approval rating is improving
and confidence in the economy under President Trump is at a
record high according to a recent Gallup survey.
